We've had a great few days. We've camped with friends and we've hiked with others. The weather has been marvelous! I will post pictures of that tomorrow.
The other day I did accomplish most of what I set out to do, I changed all the linens. And then sprayed them with an awesome linen spray my friend Kristin made for me. It's made out of essential oil, water and rubbing alcohol! I love it! Miss E says it smells like candy!
I did bake as well. Made my favorites, "boller", which I think is almost the same as hot cross buns. And this time they were a success! Last time they didn't turn out. Like I've said before, I'm far from a master in the kitchen.
Me, Miss E and her dollie had a tea party and that was fun. Then we looked at her baby pictures and had some good conversations.
I tried to move the lawn, but the mower didn't start, and my hubby hasn't had time to look at it yet. I can safely say that it's a jungle out there! This picture is NOT resent, but it's my back yard. I'm not sure what to do with it. I'm going to need heavy machinery and $$$, so it will have too do for a while. We still enjoy it, especially after my husband fenced it last summer. The dog and kids enjoy the freedom. Now if it only kept wildlife out. Last summer the bear would come early morning a couple of times, and now there are lions roaming town! But they've away from us so far!
..even though I've had more than my share today.
We spent the day at a friends house. We had a lovely time and got served lunch!
This is my house.
This picture must have been taken between 1889-1924, that is when it was my towns school house. The first in the county I believe. It looks a little different today; sadly no bell tower, and some new additions have been added. Yet the square base is still the same. We found this picture, a copy of the original, at a museum last week. It's pretty awesome if you ask me! We also bought a book about the county and town. It was quite the wild west here at some point. Can't wait to read all about it.
I love history!

Friday night, we had a big princess party at our house. It was an AWANA event, girls only and we watched the new veggie tales movie "Sweetpea Beauty". AWANA is a christian organization where girls and boys learn bible verses and have a lot of fun. Our church has a program every Friday night and we really enjoy it.
I think we were about 25 princesses and queens in attendance, so it was a house full. I happend to have quite a bit of princess and castle stuff, so it was really fun to decorate. Check out the knight in shining armour!
Others brought the food so that was great. The girls made their own little pizzas and we had a beautiful cake and cotton candy.
It was a lot of fun!
Now I have to get ready for an afternoon out with girl friends: The third Twilight movie and dinner. Yeah!
I had an old shoe box that I glued some pretty paper on. Then I put some embellishment on it to make it cute.
Now I have something pretty to put ugly stuff in... One can't have enough storage stuff!
I ran out of flower pots a while back, so I used an empty can of coffee instead. Took the label off and put on a pretty sticker.
Nice!
I'm sure I was supposed to drill some holes on the bottom for drainage, but I was too lazy for that. Instead I put some small rocks at the bottom. So far so good. And so cheap.
Have a fantastic day!
I have a party to clean for...
Today we're going to the beach with friends. It should be a lot of fun! Both kids and moms alike enjoy a splash in really REFRESHING water!
Nothing like a beautiful baby smiling and being happy. JOY!
I love curtains and how much they add or change a look. I usually change curtains in my kitchen and living room at least four times a year. Needless to say I have a huge stack!
I recently changed the kitchen. Beautiful flower and see through curtains. I also put fun striped chair covers on my chairs. I moved around the kitchen table and changed the table cloth (another great love).
These flowers has lasted for weeks. I love when that happens! Thanks Susan! :)
I love flower patterns! If it was up to me, we would have flower couch, flower wallpaper, flower almost everything!
But, I guess since I'm married to a man, I can't do flower everything...
Just a little bit...much...
Thankfully he doesn't care much!
( most of this stuff is my mom's - and please may I have it mother???)
A little bonnet I made. It was supposed to look a little different, but it was too hard too follow a pattern...but still cute!
On Monday my hubby was off work and we went jeep'n behind our house. There is a beautiful trail there, that for some reason I've never taken.... There were so many wildflowers! I feel so lucky to live where I live! I love that I can take a little "vacation" every day! The trails and fun is endless....
Today we're going shopping. We're hoping to find a cheap fire pit for this weekend. Hopefully we will find one. I also need sandals for the baby. Her feet just grew so much. I got her new ones right before Norway and now they're too small...Then we're off to swim and splash at a rec center! It should be a fun day!
Have a good day!
