Baby Shower

Two weekends ago my neighbour came over and wanted me to help her make these onesies. She came up with the idea to use real ties. We cut them up and sewed them on. They turned out really cute and fun.

Easter at the Castle. Part 2

The girls had to taste their chocolates while we waited for lunch.

The kids got fun crepes with fruits and yogurt. Us adults got salad, fruit and sandwiches.

We drank lemonade that tasted great. I normally don't like it. We had a great time, and I think it will become an annually tradition. Thank you Grandma!

Easter Tea at the Castle

Grandma invited the girls to a tea party at a castle in Manitou Springs. The town is so great with lots of nice old houses. This was the castle where the tea and Easter egg hunt was.
We all got dolled up. Especially the little girls; dresses, gloves and hats! It was a lot of fun!

Before our lunch the little girls did their egg hunt. They were hidden in different rooms in the castle.

Good Friday

"I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die" John. 11:25-26

What an amazing promise!

Busy day

Today we have a busy day ahead of us. We got story hour at the library, a birthday party, meeting a friend for a walk, running errands, laundry and packing for a great Easter weekend with in-laws. We have a fancy tea luncheon planned for the girls and women Saturday. It is going to be in a mansion so that will be new and exciting. New dress, hat and gloves have been purchased for Prinsesse E. I will not be quite as fancy. But it will be a great time!

Happy Easter weekend to all!

American Girl!

Last weekend we did something I've been dreaming about for a LONG time. We went to the American Girl store! That was so much better than I ever thought. If it wasn't for the fact that it was so crowded I would possibly have gone crazy in there. Thank goodness for the crowd!
I was so tempted to buy a doll. But I really do want to wait til my girls are a little older, since they are so expensive. We did buy an outfit though...$30 thank you. So yes, I did go a little crazy!

Is it not just darling?

We ended up going to Target and got a knock off doll. My daughter is in love!

Doughnut Monday!

Every Monday Miss E brings her friend Miss A. home after preschool. I do grocery shopping before I pick them up and it's become a tradition to get them doughnuts. So every week it's exciting for them to see what color they will get.

My beautiful Hydrangea. Now let's see how long I can keep this one alive....

Easter decoration

In Norway we don't have Easter baskets. Instead we use eggs made out of carton. This egg was a gift from my mom. Can't wait to fill it up with chocolate and marzipan ( a must!).

Eggs hanging from pussy willow and branches is another Easter must.

These little bunnies are from TJMAXX. They're a favorite in this house. Looks like Easter chocolate...mmm...

Lazy Saturday!

Beautiful burst of color in a winter wonderland

Oh, what a lazy day! I just never woke up. Yesterday we woke up to a lot of snow! Everything was covered in white. Especially my daughters bike! It's been really nice outside lately and we have been working on my oldest biking skills (or lack there of)...Now we can go sledding instead.... I really hope it will melt fast. Anyways, today was freezing! I'm looking forward to go to bed, just a few more hours....

Princess party!

My one and only niece, C, turned 2 last weekend! We went to in-laws, and celebrated. The theme was Princess. Have you ever seen a cake like this? Pretty fancy. The party was a lot of fun and the girls dressed up.

C. was Tinkerbell and Miss E. was Jasmine.

C. got lots of great presents and this car was one of them. The kids didn't wait for all the parts to be put on before they took it for a spin.

These girls will have a lot of fun together!

New fabric!

I got some new fabric the other day from Hobby Lobby - it was so hard to choose. Anyways, I made a princess skirt for my baby (with tulle underskirt).

Then a fun dress for my oldest. It has a really cute vintage pattern.

Isn't this just so adorable?
