Peter Rabbit

One of my good friends got me hooked on an easy craft!
You know those ugly plastic eggs we all have a million of? Well, we mod podged them. So easy and fun!
We cut out magazine clippings and went to town. Beatrix Potter's drawings are some of my favorites. - And so cute for Easter!

Yuk!
Snow, hail and mud. Mud season lasts forever in the mountains!
At least the kids can jump puddles!

Lucky

We are so lucky to be in a warm house and have everything we need!
It's a scary world out there...my thoughts and prayers for the people of Japan.

We did not have a traditional Irish meal today, but it was green! Food dye is always fun and handy to have!

Happy St.Patty's Day!

We are enduring more snow and sickness here today. We will still do a green day - green food and clothes. A little fun makes everything better...

Mini album

My mom's birthday is coming up so I made her a mini scrapbook album.

It was such a fast and easy project I will definitely do more of these. The big albums are a lot more work. I love doing those as well, but I am so far behind on those.... It was nice to finish one whole (mini) album in less than one hour!

For the birds

One of my friends birthdays is coming up, and I know she likes practical gifts that she can use.

Well, this gift is a little practical, -you can use it, and it's cute. There is a lot of bird stuff going on in "craft world' right now, and I wanted to join in. My friend likes animals so I hope she likes this.

I took a mason jar (I love those!) and filled it with bird seeds. Then a nest, with some moss and twigs (from Hobby Lobby) and a little decorative bird that I glued on to the top.

I added a ribbon and a cute tag. Again I used a "glansbilde", -totally vintage (from my childhood album)...

Very cute!

Baby shower

Last Saturday I had a baby shower for one of my very good friends. It will be her fourth child and she does not know what she is having. (She already has 3 beautiful girls!)

-So I decided to go with a rubber ducky theme. - And green and yellow decorations.

I didn't have time to take any pictures from the party, but took some of the cupcakes before leaving the house. I'm pretty pleased with how they turned out. Thank you cricuit machine (the ducky cut out - attached to toothpicks)! That was really fun to do! Blue "water", "bubbles" and yummy chocolate underneath. Yum! Yum!

Diaper cake

I made my friend a diaper cake - they are so much fun to make!

I stuck with the rubber ducky theme. I found a cute little bucket at Target for the top. I mod podged a vintage "glansbilde" on it. - A cute little bucket to hold baby's bath stuff..

I knitted a pair of yellow booties - they were supposed to turn in to ducky booties, but I kept messing up...so just plain booties....
I also knitted a pair of grey booties, -now all we need is a little baby to wear them!

Cabbage soup...

...has become a staple in this house. At least 2-3 times a week! I really do love it, -it's so easy and healthy as well!

A few years back my mother-in-law gave me this super cute cabbage bowl set. I just love it!

And since March is a "green" month I thought I would share it with you!
Now, we're off to join Miss E for lunch at school.

Sick day

A lazy day for us today. Me an Miss E are sick. That means a lot of TV, napping and book reading.
Luckily my 2 year old loves to snuggle on the couch with us!
