Butterscotch accesories

The interactive pony the girls got for Christmas only came with the bridal, so I decided to dress it up.First I knitted leg warmers with little bows, then a blanket to keep under the saddle. In purple of course - one of E's favorite colors.
Then I had some fabric laying around that worked perfect for a saddle!

I made reins and a big bow in the mane out of ribbon.

Then I took the remaining ribbon and some round metal things and made the stir-up's.

And of course living up in the high country, every horse needs a blanket!

Valentine's banner

I love making these whimsical banners! I've made a whole bunch of them for different occasions; valentine's day, Christmas, birthday, baby room and playroom. I make them out of paper, but plan on using fabric one of these days... Anyways, my husband thinks we have enough!

This banner says "SWEETHEART".

My crazy baby

Baby A is crazy, and she drives her mamma crazy. She has to be walked and carried most of the day ( I have big arm muscles after one year of this), she refuses to be fed and throws most of the food on the ground, and is totally wild while being changed. She is loud, and will not nap much. But she is oh so cute, and I love her so much!

House slippers

Since fall I've been obsessed with making kintted houseslippers, probably because they are so easy to make, and comfortable to wear. They are best if made out of wool yarn, then felted, but I have a hard time finding wool yarn here.
I love pink knitting needles

A future gift....

Fruits

We were watching church on tv this morning. All of the sudden E. says "We don't want to eat that!" I asked her what she was talking about, she said " the fruits of the spirit"!

Dance class has started again!

I'm so excited it's time for dance class again. Where we live there is limited activities, but every winter we have a dance school coming to town. In May there will be a recital and it's all very exciting for mom. Good thing my daughter is excited about it too! Tutu's, ballet slippers and the loud noise of tap shoes! I love it! And all the little girls are so cute trying to follow the steps and movements!

Smykkeskrin/jewlery box

Princess E. made this necklace at preschool before christmas. She is very proud of it and wanted to show it on the blog. She is a great crafter! And so is my sister, she gave E. this jewlery box for christmas. She decoupaged it with scrap paper and it looks great! She is a very creative person and does everything beautifully! She said she was making baby one too, so I can't wait!
Sorry, couldn't turn the picture.....Necklace in the jewlery box my sister made. It has the most beautiful color beads. Fancy!

A self-sufficient girl

Sometimes when my 4 year old daughter is hungry, she does not feel like waiting for mom to fix her food. She does it herself! I'm not sure if I should be proud of her, or ashamed of myself!

Princess E getting a ride on our Knoximus. He is such a good dog. He sleeps in E's bed every night, and she loves it. She can not stand beeing alone - ever...
Me and my girls on new years eve. It was hard to get a good picture of all of us. That night we went to dinner at a friends house and we had a good night! Happy 2010!

My morning sunshines

Here are my two very reliable alarmclocks! Sure enough, before the clock hits 5 am we are up. Every day...They're ready to go and I just want to drink coffee and go online. So we put the tv on. They say kids should only watch 30 min a day, but I'm sorry I need 1 hour to wake up!

Paperdolls

One of my best friends let me borrow her paperdoll carteridge for the cricut, and I just love it! I'm just going to have to buy it myself! It's one that takes longer to create with, because you have to think about what hairstyle, clothes, shoes etc for each doll. But it is so much fun! I can't wait to put them in E's scrapbook. I'm a little behind in scrapbooking because I take way too many pictures. But when I scrap it goes pretty fast. I'm not one who uses a lot of time on my pages, they're pretty simple, probably because I'm impatient and want to see the end result right away. Sometimes I wish my pages would be elaborate, with lots of layers, but I do like them simple as well. Maybe one of these days I will do a more fancy album.

Glansbilder

As a little girl in Norway, me and my friends would collect these and trade them. We would also put them in albums and decorate cards etc with them. I don't know what they are called in english or if you can even get them here. Maybe they're a little bit like clip art? I don't know, but they work great for decoupage, cardmaking and scrapbooking.

Nursery cabinets

I had some really pretty scrapbook paper that my sister gave me, that I decided to put on some cabinets. I also put a glansbilde on each of them. I love the results! The pictures don't do them justice!Posted by Picasa
