A glimpse of my everyday life
Always giving thanks...for everything...(Eph 5:20)

... is coming soon. My Miss E will be off from school that day so we are planning a party!
A fancy tea party that is! She and her little friends loves to be fancy. They want to be fancy every single day!
So today we have to make some invitations, decorations and plan our menu...
I have reached my pre kids weight!
(Granted my body is nothing like what it used to be...but oh well!)
I love comfort food - can't have any myself right now, but my kids can. The other day I made the most delicious smelling bread pudding with warm berries....yum! Brown sugar, cloves, nutmeg and cinnamon made the house smell so comforting and cozy!
I'm drinking a lot of water these days, and sometimes you need something more for you taste buds. - MINT!
Take a handful of mint, pull of the leaves and rinse. Then roll the leaves around between your palms to bruise them. Place them in the bottom of a pitcher and fill it with fresh water. Refrigerate for several hours. Pour over ice and Enjoy!
(Tastes better in a great bottle!)
Again with the mod podge - cute Victorian motif on an ugly jug, and a new plaque for the wall. So simple!
Today I get to scrapbook all day again! So excited!
Today I'm sick. And homesick. -Sometimes you just want to go home..`.
But since I cant, I can look at some pictures and plan my next trip.
I was watching HGTV international, and a show from Norway came on. Already feeling crappy for days now, it just made really homesick.
The good news is that it usually doesn't last for too long, and I know I get to go back in the summer....Jippi! Coffee with my family!
Now I just want this headache and sore throat to end.
My moms old curtains are hung in the kitchen. They are so pretty! The whole atmosphere in here has changed, Light and airy! Which is good, because these coming months can be very long, cold and dark!
Today I'm trying to get over a cold, going to the dentist and visiting with a friend. Great horrors and joys!
This "fest drakt" my grandma made my aunt 40-50 years ago. My mom found it in the attic and gave it to Miss E. It's pretty short, but I think that was typical for that era. The shirt was really yellow, but a wash with bleach took care of that. My grandma made the shirt, dress and apron. She did a great job. And I'm sure my aunt loved to wear this at some festive time. Maybe Christmas or May 17th?
I love the little roses! Very shabby and chic! We will kepp this dress and pass it through the coming generations...so fun!
Christmas is finally cleaned out, and things are slowly getting back to normal. Since my Christmas has a lot of darker colors, it's nice to go really light after all that.
My friend made me a wonderful pillow and two little hearts - out of her Cath Kidston fabric! She is so nice! I just love the colors and patterns. She did a great job! I love it!
-And my little princess on the floor makes everything perfect!
